Happy New Year!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous 2012. Regular preschool story time resumes next week. For the next 3 months, we'll be exploring colors.

Special Evening Events for Children will begin in February with a Stuffed Animal Sleepover. After that, we'll have a Bugs Family Story Time, It's Raining Cats & Dogs story Time, and a Summer Reading Program Preview.

We'll be having some tween events (ages 9-12) this spring at Murphy Library. The first event is Origami and Games in February. The second event is Edible Crafts & Book Spine Poetry in April. I'm very excited about these events.

Teen Events will also resume in February. Teens can look forward to Animal Antics, Duct Tape Creations, Book Spine Poetry, and a Mad Hatter Tea Party this Spring.

The Calendar of Events Tab has been updated through January for preschool story time and through February for special events. You can view it here.

As it's winter, I want to remind everyone of NRL's Inclement Weather Policy. You can access the full policy here, but as it pertains to story time, if Cherokee County Schools are closed or delayed there will be no story time. In terms of special events, I will use my own judgement to decide if those events need to be canceled due to inclement weather.
